When people start to do research about the numbers; it makes this even more bullshit than it already is. hantaran itu untuk menyenangkan preparation wedding untuk belah perempuan, NOT a value based on education. kalau dah agree to make a big wedding belah perempuan, the more hantaran money is needed. bukan education jadi kayu ukur. Nowadays, people brag about their hantaran value, lagi tinggi lagi bagus, then they end up paying debt for a few years after the big day. so, thanks to this so called "adat". believe it or not, it has not become a tradition here in KL/Selangor, its more of a status symbol. kaya vs tidak mampu, bijak vs kurang pandai

:) i love the fact that people rate thru our effort,(mksd i kita blaja tinggi2,blaja masak or whatever,and we really need the money.like,to survive and live nowadays. tp i totally agree with u, that we shouldnt put hantaran as sesuatu utk menilai perkahwinan.and majlis besar or tak besar,kecik or simple, itu adalah pilihan tuan punye badan.ade duit,go for it.taknak,save for the future.i think we really have to change people's mentality nowadays.tp,its not an easy thing.orang yg dh bertahan lama dgn adat,makes it harder n harder.pokok pangkalnye, kalo nk kawen, go for the real objectives first.cukup ke ilmu agama?cukup ke persiapan diri utk tanggungjawab yg berat?itu semua sangat3 penting.tp dont get me wrong. i really think money is sooooo essential,altho i dont think money is everything.so bertindaklah dengan bijak.yang paling penting, jangan melampaui batas.cos orang yg melampaui batas itu dimurkai Allah..:D gudluck in ur love life darling!
