Guide to buying shoes

(something we tend to ignore)

rule 1 : spend enough; quality matters
rule 2 : examine the new shoe; it has to be comfortable
rule 3 : try different sizes; you will find what you need comfort-wise only through trial and error
rule 4 : put on both shoes, stand up after lacing to let your feet spread out
rule 5 : shop late; feet swell 5% between morning and evening
rule 6 : don't force it.

don't fall for "if you wear thicker socks, it''ll be perfect!"
so now, you need a new sock wardrobe too?
before going to the store, put on the socks you plan to wear with the shoe.
